Strawn is a city in Palo Pinto County, Texas, United States.The population was 540 at the 2020 census.Strawn, on State Highway 16 and 108, Farm to Market Road 2372, and the Missouri Pacific Railroad in southwestern Palo Pinto County, was one of several towns developed about 1880 when the Texas and Pacific Railway began service.

Strawn Independent School District is a public school district based in Strawn, Texas . The district consists of one campus consisting of grades PK-12. Strawn High School has won five UIL six-man football championships. (2003, 2008, 2017, 2018, and 2021. The 2008 title was in Division I).
On March 8, 1926, SH 108 was extended north to Strawn, with a branch to Chalk Mountain added. [5] On June 24, 1931, the section south of Strawn was redesignated as the new state-length SH 66, [6] and the rest was cancelled in exchange of mileage. On July 22, 1932, the section of SH 108 from Stephenville to Strawn was restored. [7]
