With the holidays coming up, I decided to run the pre-approval tool just for kicks to see if it would offer the Visa signature version of the card (and I planned to decline the card if the SL were below $5K). It came up with $5K, so I took it. DPs: Instant approval after online pre-approval.
Re: Synchrony Verizon Visa changes (now 4% dining) I just got a mailer announcing changes coming to the Synchrony Verizon Visa. Here are the new category earning rates: 4% On grocery store and gas purchases (unchanged) 4% On dining purchases, including takeout (previously 3%) 4% On Verizon purchases - Fine print says " Excludes bill payment and ...
06-29-2020 05:47 PM. Verizon / Synchrony Approval But Score / Limit? I applied for the new Verizon card last week. Immedialy saw a hard pull for TransUnion. Score was 791 at the time. Was approved for $2100. Was a bit dissapointed considering my income and score are not an issue. But I thought maybe it's the pandemic crack down on credit.
Today I bought a phone for $1300 and Verizon approved it instantaneously. After that I applied with Synchrony for Verizon Visa and ended with $1k limit. I am going to put the payment for my personal cell phone on Auto Pilot and charge it onto my Verizon Visa card. No point even looking back. It will upgrade and get cli when ever it happens.
Best wishes and sorry for the frustration. It can feel like a nightmare when you're trying manage your reporting data and creditors seem to be throwing a wrench in your plans. I got the Verizon Visa just to save the $20 a month paying my bill. Synchrony is going to be the bane of my existence. I want to like the - 6649967.
I spoke with Synchrony Bank (card supplier) about which credit bureau Synchrony uses to pull the report during the application process. The Synchrony representative affirmed to me that Synchrony pulls primarily from TransUnion, and secondarily from Equifax, if needed. However, I spoke with a Verizon Visa Customer Service representative ...

I've found this card surprisingly useful, especially with the unexpected surprises - the $10 auto-pay discount and 2% back on Verizon both apply to your phone bill. They also gave me double SUBs - $100 for spending $1K and that temporary 5% back on $2K holiday promotion.
Synchrony Identity Verification. I have three cards with Synchrony, all of which were opened in the last three months. I opened two in store and one online. The online application set the tone for my current relationship with the Amazon Prime Store card. Initially, they couldn't verify my phone number (I switched carriers 2 months ago and they ...
Received the postcard to apply in the mail. Went to Synchrony and got the 7-10 day response. Received an email tonight assuming it was a link to a denial letter; however, I cannot open the PDF. Obviously, my browser can open and view PDF's, but not this one. Spotting the odletter in the web address reinforced my denial letter belief.
