The third season of the historical drama television series Vikings premiered on February 19, 2015 on History in Canada, and concluded on April 23, 2015, consisting of ten episodes. The series broadly follows the exploits of the legendary Viking chieftain Ragnar Lothbrok and his crew, and later those of his sons.
A series of 13 webisodes known as Vikings: Athelstan's Journal, directed by Lucas Taylor [4] and written by Sam Meikle, [5] was released by the History Channel. Each webisode serves as a journal entry for the Vikings character Athelstan. The webisodes were released prior to and in conjunction with the beginning of the third season of Vikings. [6]
The first season of the series begins at the start of the Viking Age, marked by the Lindisfarne raid in 793. The fourth season consists of a double-season order of twenty episodes, split into two parts of ten episodes; [1] [2] [3] The first half concluded on April 21, 2016. The second half premiered on November 30, 2016.
Blagden who was raised near to Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk, [2] began singing at age 13, performing in various choirs and his own rock band. [3] After studying at Old Buckenham Hall School, Suffolk, [2] he was accepted into Oundle School with a drama scholarship, [4] and appeared in the school's Stahl Theatre in such roles as The Baker in Into the Woods and Marc in 'Art'. Harry Gilby (born 21 August 2001) is an English actor, best known for playing a young J. R. R. Tolkien in the film Tolkien (2019) and Æthelstan in the fifth season of The Last Kingdom (2022) and the follow-up film The Last Kingdom: Seven Kings Must Die (2023).
