Blue Man Group grew out of a collaboration of three close friends, Chris Wink, Matt Goldman and Phil Stanton, on Manhattan's Lower East Side in 1987. Its first public appearance was a celebration of the end of the 1980s.

The Blue Man Group, The Complex (album), Audio (album), How to Be Megastar Live! Chris Wink (born 1961 in New York City , New York) is an American theater performer and director. He is one of the founding members of the Blue Man Group , as well as co-founder of Blue School.
Annette Strean provided vocals for Blue Man Group's cover of "I Feel Love" on their 2003 album The Complex. Venus Hum opened for Blue Man Group on The Complex Rock Tour, and performed with them as well. The band was featured as "rock concert movement number sixty-three." "I Feel Love" was released as a single in 2004.
