Mungara Yamini Krishnamurthy (20 December 1940 – 3 August 2024) was an Indian classical dancer recognized for her contributions to Bharatanatyam and Kuchipudi. She was a recipient of the Padma Shri (1968), Padma Bhushan (2001), Padma Vibhushan (2016) and Sangeet Natak Akademi Award (1977).

The DVD was released by Yamini Krishnamurthy as a part of "Nayika-Excellence Personified," which was organised on the occasion of Woman's Day on 8 March 2014 in Bharathiya Vidhya Bhavan, Bangalore. [12] Kuchipudi was the artistic director of the Shambhavi School of Dance [13] and the former chairperson of Karnataka Sangeetha Nritya Academy. [14]
His book on music, "Sadhna ke Phool" was released. His co-artist Padma Vibhushan Yamini Krishnamurthy graced the occasion with a dance performance by herself and her group, other performances included flute recitals of Sh Saurabh Banaudha and Sh Rajshekhar Dalbehera. [4]
