  3. Barrel swivel vs Double Split Rings | IFish Fishing Forum

    www.ifish.net/threads/barrel-swivel-vs-double-split-rings...

Steelhead Lunatic. The double split rings on the belly hook keep the hook point from getting obscured by the body of the plug. The swivel on the back hook lets the hook swing in any orientation and grab the mouth of the fish better also keeps the fish from getting leverage if hooked only on the back hook.

  4. Why Double Hooks for Tuna? - IFish Fishing Forum

    www.ifish.net/threads/why-double-hooks-for-tuna.144820

They sell for ~$23.00/50. This hook is commonly used to rig commercially available lures (Ballyhood, Blue Ocean Tackle), so it's a proven hook. Plus they're lots cheaper than the tuna doubles, which are ~$2.00 (ouch) each. Not sure if it's kosher to link to BATC, so just do a search over there for rigging tips.

As a kid I would always look forward to getting the Yellow (News Paper Like) WS mailer/adds. In many ways they were way ahead of the times. I have spent many a dollar with them over the years and personally have not had any issue.

Calling in bears works. My advice is to always have a hand call ready to use at any time. If you jump a bear immediately start blowing on it. I have had good success calling that jumped bear right back in. Or if your hiking and start seeing lots of fresh sign give it 20 minutes on the call.

This is great practice for backing up live bird shooters, especially as the third shooter. By then the target is 60 yards and falling. Don't think about any lead, just look at the bird and let your subconscious set the gun off. Billings gun club has 2 sporting clays courses, 100 birds each, and 2 different 5-stands.

the answer is to get your butt out and go use your boat soon and enjoy the dam thing. run out as much gas as you can. then top off your tank. and add stabil. if possible use non-e gas especially when you let it sit often. pay the couple bucks extra to fill with it. I run it in my dehydrator at 165 for about 3 hours. Some a little less. Some a little more. 5 pound batch. One thing I started doing was spritz a little water in the bag before I vacuum pack. Really helps to make the jerky more tender. Doc's Best Beef Jerky. allrecipes.com (355) 12 hr 20 min · 228 cals · 10 servs.
