Monument Road. The US purchased 12,580 square feet of land on the south side of Monument Road on May 25, 1932, and spent $5,625 to erect a red brick border station, which saw little traffic. It connects Rue Principale (Quebec Route 247) in Beebe Plain, Quebec (a former municipality, since 1995 part of the town of Stanstead) with Beebe Road in Beebe Plain, a village in Derby, Vermont.
The Morses Line Border Crossing connects the towns of Saint-Armand, Quebec with Franklin, Vermont on the Canada–US border. It is reached by Vermont Route 235 on the American side and by Quebec Route 235 on the Canadian side. In 1871, a proprietor named J. Morse opened a store at this location directly on the US-Canada boundary.
