The Hualapai Mountains are a mountain range located in Mohave County, east of Kingman, Arizona.Rising up to 8,417 feet at its highest peak, [1] the higher elevations of the Hualapai Mountains support Madrean Sky Island habitats, and are host to a plethora of unique flora and fauna in a wide range of microclimates, high above the surrounding Mojave Desert.

This doubled list has the North–South running Colorado River sectioned into the west side of the river vs. the east side.
The Lower Colorado River Valley has unique plant communities because it is the most arid part of the desert and it has the highest temperatures, in excess of 120 °F (49 °C) during the summer. The low humidity means that most plants must have mechanisms that deal with severe water loss through evaporation.
The Imperial National Wildlife Refuge protects wildlife habitat along 30 miles (50 km) of the lower Colorado River in Arizona and California, including the last un-channeled section before the river enters Mexico. The Imperial Refuge Wilderness, a federally designated, 15,056-acre (60.93 km 2), wilderness area is protected within the refuge. [1]
Deep Creek rises high in Colorado's White River Plateau in the White River National Forest northeast of the town of Carbonate, Colorado and west of Bison Lake. From there, it flows east and is impounded by Heart Lake Reservoir. [3] Leaving the reservoir, it passes through Deep Lake [4] and then flows generally southeast.
