Black died on 1 August 2015 at the age of 72, after a fall in her holiday villa in Estepona, a town in Spain. The day after her funeral, the compilation album The Very Best of Cilla Black (2013) went to number one on the UK Albums Chart and the New Zealand Albums Chart; it was her first number one album.

Completely Cilla: 1963–1973 is a compilation album released of music by British pop singer Cilla Black. The compilation album is a prelude to Black's 50th anniversary in show business (due in 2013) – it is the largest released compilation album of her music containing 139 digitally remastered recordings .
Released as a three disc set – two CDs and one DVD, the album includes all of Black's biggest hit singles as well as new remixes, previously unreleased tracks and Black's first ever music DVD of rare live performances acquired from the BBC archives.
