The Buick Enclave is a three-row full-size crossover SUV produced by General Motors since 2007. It was previewed at the 2006 North American International Auto Show, [1] officially as a concept car, making it the first Lambda vehicle to be displayed. The Enclave is partially based on the Buick Centieme concept shown at the 2003 Detroit Auto Show.
It was designed and manufactured by General Motors, equipped on automobiles starting with the 2017 model year; the 9TXX family was developed from an earlier joint GM–Ford 6-speed automatic transmission. Ford sells derivatives of the 9TXX with one forward speed removed as the 8F family.
The 8L 90 is the subject of a class-action lawsuit filed in December 2018 that alleges the transmission suffers from persistent "shudder" issues and that GM has known about the problems since its introduction and has failed to provide a solution, instead choosing to wait until the unit is out of warranty.
