St Andrew House (now styled as the Premier Inn Glasgow Buchanan Galleries) is a prominent high-rise building in the centre of Glasgow, Scotland.. It has been a prominent landmark on the eastern end of the city's Sauchiehall Street since the mid-1960s when it was completed, and was one of the first post-war high rise buildings in the city centre.
Opened in 1996, the Gallery of Modern Art is housed in a neoclassical building in Royal Exchange Square in the heart of Glasgow city centre. Built in 1778 as the townhouse of William Cunninghame of Lainshaw, a wealthy Glasgow Tobacco Lord who made his fortune through the triangular slave trade, [2] the building has undergone a series of different uses.
One of Glasgow and Scotland's most creative institutions, Glasgow Art Club was founded in 1867. Membership is open to ladies, gentlemen, students and corporate organisations.
