McKinney is represented in the Texas Senate by Republican Angela Paxton, District 8, and Republican Drew Springer, District 30. McKinney is also represented in the Texas House of Representatives by Republican Frederick Frazier, District 61. Frazier was indicted in June 2022 on two charges of impersonating a public servant, a felony offense.
