Kearny High School is a public high school in San Diego, California, United States. It serves students in grades 9-12 from the Linda Vista , Serra Mesa and Kearny Mesa communities. The school is part of San Diego Unified School District .
Kearny's first high school was established in 1894. Construction began on the present school facility began in 1921 and Kearny High School opened for the fall semester in September 1923. [3] The school's stadium was completed in 1925. In 1940, an addition costing $400,000 was added.
In September 2013, Kearney voters approved a $75 million bond to build a new Kearney High School, [2] in southwest Kearney; the building is located at 2702 West 11th Street. The new building is a third larger than its predecessor. Construction was finished in the fall of 2016. [3]
