Feb. 11—Cape Elizabeth's Clare Egan qualified for Sunday's Olympic women's biathlon pursuit race with her 46th-place finish Friday morning in the 7.5-kilometer sprint at the Winter Games in Beijing.

The 2022–23 Biathlon World Cup (official: BMW IBU World Cup Biathlon) was a multi-race series over a season of biathlon, organised by the International Biathlon Union (IBU). It was the 46th edition for men and 41st edition for women of the highest international race series in biathlon.
These results will come during the 2020–21 Biathlon World Cup and 2021–22 Biathlon World Cups seasons, up until 16 January 2022. The final 12 spots, per gender, will be allocated using the IBU Qualifying Points List, to nations who have not qualified any athletes yet, with a maximum of two per nation.
