Taimah, from A.R. Fulton's Red Men of Iowa 1882. Tama County / ˈ t eɪ m ə / is a county located in the U.S. state of Iowa. As of the 2020 census, the population was 17,135. [1] Its county seat is Toledo. [2] The county was formed on February 17, 1843 [3] and named for Taimah, a leader of the Meskwaki people. [4]
