Delia Owens (born April 4, 1949) [1] [2] is an American author, zoologist, and conservationist.She is best known for her 2018 novel Where the Crawdads Sing.. Owens was born and grew up in southern Georgia, where she spent most of her life in or near true wilderness.

Alexander, who is a native of Dermott, usually ended his Arkansas Schools Tours with a two-day art exhibit and print signing there at the festival. The Crawfish Festival was typically a food and music festival. In 2006, a car/truck/rim show was added to the festival.
