The MuchMusic World Headquarters is located on 299 Queen Street West in Downtown Toronto, as seen in April 2005. The channel has been based there since 1987. Shortly thereafter, MuchMusic was launched on August 31, 1984, as one of the first Canadian cable specialty channels. It was headed by the channel's founders John Martin and Moses Znaimer.
