The park was created in 2024 after being a state natural area and managed by the Justin P. Wilson Cumberland Trail State Park [2] and perseveres the North Chickamauga Creek gorge, the Creek which is a Tennessee State Scenic River. Taylor Ridge runs through Ringgold; a gap in the ridge is located just east of the city center, with the part of the ridge running to the south called Taylors Ridge and to the north called White Oak Mountain. South Chickamauga Creek, a tributary of the Tennessee River, runs through Ringgold.
State Route 341 (SR 341) is a 15.5-mile-long (24.9 km) north–south state highway located entirely within Walker County in the northwestern part of the U.S. state of Georgia. It connects the unincorporated community of Davis Crossroads with Chattanooga Valley , via Chickamauga .
Built in 1895, it is one-lane wide, 33 feet long, and made of wood. It spans Chickamauga Creek in White County and is located near State Route 255. The bridge is currently owned by the White County Historical Society. In the past, it served as a link on the Cleveland to Clayton road; but by 1959, the road was moved away from the bridge.
