[88] Retrospective reviews of the album have been more positive. Stephen Thomas Erlewine said Foxtrot was "the first time that Genesis attacked like a rock band". [81]
Some singles that included the full version of the song included the second part of "Domino" ("The Last Domino") as the B-side. Other releases contained the song "Paperlate" and a 12" remix of "Tonight, Tonight, Tonight". The full live version from the Live at Wembley Stadium video was included as a B-side on the "Never A Time" CD single.
Ultimate Classic Rock ranked We Can't Dance as the 14th best album by Genesis, stating "Collins' final album with Genesis is full of obnoxious, overproduced pop pap; most of the tracks sound like castoffs from one of his solo albums. When the meager charms of a song like 'I Can't Dance' are a highlight, you’re in big trouble."
Genesis Archive #2: 1976–1992 is the second box set by English rock band Genesis. It was released on 6 November 2000 on Virgin and Atlantic Records as the follow-up to their previous retrospective box set, Genesis Archive 1967–75 (1998).
The collection is mostly sequenced in reverse chronological order except for the most recent track, the title track of the Calling All Stations album, being placed at the end of the first disc. The majority of the tracks were newly remixed by studio collaborator Nick Davis .
