South Hwanghae Province (Hwanghaenamdo; Korean pronunciation: [ɸwaŋ.ɦɛ.nam.do], lit. "south Yellow Sea province") is a province in western North Korea.The province was formed in 1954 when the former Hwanghae Province was split into North and South Hwanghae.
