Milwaukee Road 261 is a class "S3" 4-8-4 "Northern" type steam locomotive built by the American Locomotive Company (ALCO) in Schenectady, New York in July 1944 for the Milwaukee Road (MILW). It was used for heavy mainline freight and passenger work until being retired by the MILW in 1956.
The RSD-15 was powered by an ALCO 251 16-cylinder four-cycle V-type prime mover rated at 2,400 horsepower (1.79 MW); it superseded the almost identical ALCO 244-engined RSD-7, and was catalogued alongside the similar but smaller 1,800 hp (1.34 MW) RSD-12, powered by a 12-cylinder 251-model V-type diesel engine. The longer one contained the diesel engine, a 1,500 hp (1.1 MW) eight-cylinder turbocharged Alco 251-F, while the shorter contained auxiliaries. The C415 could be ordered with three different cab heights; a low one for minimum clearances , a regular height one, and an extra-height one for maximum visibility.

The ALCO Century 430 is a four-axle, 3,000 hp (2,237 kW) diesel-electric locomotive. 16 were built between July 1966 and February 1968. [1] Cataloged as a part of ALCO's 'Century' line of locomotives, the C430 was an upgraded version of the C425 model. Since 1992, five C430s have remained in existence. [2]
