Trying to add optifine to forge is no longer officially supported, but there is a easy fix, the forge mod "Optiforge" is helpful to use. Its not officially made by the optifine developers but is useful.
Now if you go to the "downloads" folder you will find the first Optifine plus the mod we just downloaded, that is Optiforge. Select those two mods, right click and click on the size. Now go to the bottom left of the search box and type "% appdata%" removing the quotes, press enter and in the folder that opens up open the ".minecraft" folder ...
dont use whatever **** optiforge is download optifine 1.8.9 and double click on it extract it then move the EXTRACTED version to your mods folder
Optiforge for most mods so if you have a good enough pc to support all the mods well, then forge is way better for usefulness DecommisonedAccount Dedicated Member
So I havent been on mc for like an year or two, came back to see a new update (1.21), but optifine havent released the new update yet, I believe its been a month since new release, is optifine even releasing?

Right now, I play optiforge 1.8.9. Idk if thats better than lunar or badlion. Right now, I really don't lag that much as I have 16 gigs of ram. But, I would really like a good client that gives higher fps and less lag for dungeons. I know clients have less mod options that optiforge, so Idk what to choose
