University Canada West (UCW) is a private, for-profit [4] university in British Columbia, Canada. It was founded in 2005 by David F. Strong, the former president of the University of Victoria . UCW was purchased in 2008 by the Eminata Group and in 2014 sold to Global University Systems , its present owners.
Leutze Lake and the campus clock tower at the end of Chancellor's Walk Schwartz Hall houses 160 residents and is home to mostly first-year students. Adjacent to Schwartz Hall are the University Suites, and the Fraternity and Sorority Village, which consist of seven pod-style buildings housing 400 students.
UCW is primarily based in Weston College's Knightstone Campus, with floors five and six dedicated to the college's degree courses. Expansion of the higher education provision resulted in the creation of the University Campus in 2007 and the Future Technology Centre, from which UCW teaches its university-level engineering courses.

In 1947, the school moved to its present campus in the Kanawha City section of Charleston across the river from the State Capitol. [5] In 1951, it purchased the Young-Noyes House as the home of the college president. [6] It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1978. [7]
IBERS is currently situated on two main sites. The main teaching activity takes place at the Edward Llwyd, IBERS and Cledwyn buildings on the university's Penglais campus and the majority of its research activities take place at the far larger Gogerddan campus, two miles to the North East of Aberystwyth, near Penrhyncoch and Bow Street.
