The Rock Hill Public Library is a public library in Rock Hill, Missouri, a suburb of St. Louis. Established in 1943, the library holds more than 53,000 items. It is a member of the Municipal Library Consortium, which is made up of nine independent libraries in St. Louis County. [1]

The volunteer-run library was supported by donations and open two days a week. It was later moved to the first floor. In 1957, the library was moved to the Lions Club building on Manchester Road. [2] Fairfax House was occupied as business space until 1997, when it was moved across Manchester Road to a site next to the Rock Hill Presbyterian Church.

Rock Hill School District comprised Rock Hill, parts of Ladue, Warson Woods, Kirkwood, Brentwood and Webster Groves; and was one of the first districts formed in St. Louis County. [26] Rock Hill #I on Manchester and Rock Hill Road was established in 1909. In 1911 enrollment was 270. In 1912 two more elementary schools were built.
