Ark was formed in 1991 in Dhaka City by keyboardist and vocalist Ashiquzzaman Tulu when he met guitarist Pancham, who was playing guitar in the studio.. The foundations of Bangladeshi rock started in the 1950s as a fusion of American rock and roll and Bengali classical music. In the 1960s, the Gramophone Company of Pakistan imported many LPs and singles from rock and roll artists like Cliff Richard and the Shadows, Elvis Presley, the Beatles, the Rolling Stones, the Beach Boys and the Hollies, which sold very well in Bangladesh.

Love Runs Blind, commonly known as LRB (5 April 1991 – 18 October 2018) was a Bangladeshi rock band formed in Chittagong by Ayub Bachchu.. Since their formation, they have released thirteen studio albums, one live album and two compilation albums.
The title track became a hit and was considered [by whom?] as a classic Love Runs Blind song. They released their sixth studio album Shopno in 1996. In September 1996, they released the live album, Ferari Mon: Unplugged Live . which was the first ever live album in Bangladesh and the only live album by the band.

The band's second album, entitled Fossils 2, was released in 2004. It was then noted as the Bengali band album with the highest budget to date. The album was partly sponsored by the Thums Up brand. The mastering engineer was Steve Fallone of Sterling Sound, New York. The band witnessed a surge in popularity.
