Aldora is located in south-central Lamar County at (33.049078, -84.175552 It is bordered to the east by Barnesville, the county seat.. Georgia State Route 18 passes through the south side of the town, leading east into Barnesville and west 14 miles (23 km) to Zebulon.
According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the county has a total area of 186 square miles (480 km 2), of which 184 square miles (480 km 2) is land and 2.3 square miles (6.0 km 2) (1.3%) is water. [5]

Barnesville is a city in Lamar County, Georgia, United States.As of the 2010 census, the city had a population of 6,755, [4] up from 5,972 at the 2000 census. The city is the county seat of Lamar County and is just outside of the Atlanta metropolitan area.
Milner is located in northwestern Lamar County at (33.112941, -84.195017 U.S. Route 41 passes through the southwest side of the city, leading southeast 5 miles (8 km) to Barnesville, the Lamar county seat, and northwest 11 miles (18 km) to Griffin.
Johnstonville was founded in 1821, and served as temporary county seat. [2] A post office called Johnstonville was established in 1839, and remained in operation until 1905. [3]
