Let's Change) is a song by the Bangladeshi rock band LRB, released in mid-1993. It was both written and composed by Ayub Bachchu, for the band's third studio album "সুখ (Happiness)". It is often referred to as one of the greatest bangla rock songs. [1] The song begins with an acoustic guitar and drum.
Bangla is a folk-rock band from Bangladesh formed by the popular indie musician Shayan Chowdhury Arnob in 1999. Bangla mainly blends the traditional Bangladeshi folk genres like Baul , Lalon together with western flavours like jazz , blues , rock etc. [ 1 ] The band released its first album Kingkortobbobimurho in 2002.
Ark was formed in 1991 in Dhaka City by keyboardist and vocalist Ashiquzzaman Tulu when he met guitarist Pancham, who was playing guitar in the studio.. Ashiquzzaman Tulu was a prominent figure in the Bangladeshi rock music industry in the 1980s and 1990s, who was a founder member of Chime, along with Khalid, Shauqat Ali Emon and aly Sumon (current vocal of Pentagon).
Tipu left the band and was replaced by Eamon, Mobin left the band to work as a sound engineer. Eventually, Morshed Baez joined the band as guitarist and vocalist and guitarist Russell joined the band. In 1998, Eamon left the band and Chandan moved to England for higher education for 1 year. During this time, the band's activities stalled.
The band's first album was released in 1988. Naquib Khan and Pilu Khan sang a song titled 'Tomar Koshter Chikare Jonno Nilam Ami' in the film To Be Continued which is directed by Iftekhar Ahmed Fahmi. In 2009, Renaissance took part in a studio concert organised by ABC Radio's Eid Anondo.
The song is sung in the style of Pink Floyd's song Another Brick in the Wall. All songs by Nova, except for Didi Jai of Vaiso album and the songs of the mixed albums, are written and composed by Ahmed Fazal. [1] The band went into a hiatus in the 2000s but made a comeback with the album "Return of the Nova" released in 2010. [2] [3] [4] [5]
The foundations of Bangladeshi rock started in the 1950s as a fusion of American rock and roll and Bengali classical music. In the 1960s, the Gramophone Company of Pakistan imported many LPs and singles from rock and roll artists like Cliff Richard and the Shadows, Elvis Presley, the Beatles, the Rolling Stones, the Beach Boys and the Hollies, which sold very well in Bangladesh.
James has been one of the most popular artists, both as a solo musician and with his band in Bangladesh and in West Bengal, since the 1990s. He met Pritam Chakraborty, an Indian Bengali music director and composer working in Bollywood, in 2004. In 2005, James did the playback for the film Gangster.
