The Sanford Hotel, also known as the Conant Hotel, is a historic seven-story building in Omaha, Nebraska. It was built as a hotel for Dr. Harold Gifford, an ophthalmologist, self-professed socialist, and real estate investor, in 1916–1917. [2] The hotel was managed by Harley Conant, who renamed it the Conant Hotel in 1939. [2]
The Prague Hotel is located at 1402 South 13th Street on the southwest corner of South 13th and William Streets in the heart of the Little Bohemia neighborhood of Omaha, Nebraska. Designed by Joseph Guth and built−in 1898, this building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1987.
The Farnam Hotel is a 255 ft (78 m), 15-story skyscraper at the corner of South 13th and Farnam Streets in Downtown Omaha, Nebraska, United States. [2] It was built in 1990 as an office building and was formerly known as 1200 Landmark Center , [ 3 ] at one point housing the Omaha operations of Pacific Life .
The hotel almost immediately ran into financial difficulties. In 1878, a $100,000 mortgage was foreclosed. [2] On August 18, 1878, the hotel was bought at auction by Augustus Kountze. [2] George Thrall then leased the hotel from Kountze and assumed its management. [2]
The Flatiron Hotel is located at 1722 St. Mary's Avenue in downtown Omaha, Nebraska. Designed by architect George Prinz and originally constructed in 1912 as an office building, in 1914 it was renovated for use as a hotel.
