Trump National Doral Miami is a golf resort in Doral in South Florida in the United States. The Doral Open was a professional golf tournament on the PGA Tour in the southeastern United States. It was played annually for 45 seasons, from 1962 to 2006, on the "Blue Monster" course at the Doral Golf Resort & Spa in Doral, Florida, a suburb west of Miami. The introduction of the FedEx Cup in 2007 caused a change in the PGA Tour schedule.
The event was reinvented with a new sponsor (CA, Inc, and later Cadillac), a new hosting month (March), and a new permanent host (Doral, Florida). [1] The decision to host on the Blue Monster course at Doral Golf Resort brought to an end the Ford Championship at Doral , a regular stop on the PGA Tour in March for 45 consecutive years (1962–2006).
This one-off event takes place at Shadow Creek Golf Club in Las Vegas on Tuesday, 17 December. Tee times for the players are scheduled for 11pm GMT (6pm ET) to kick off the 18-hole event.
