The Aston Martin DB9 is a two-door grand touring car. It was produced in Gaydon, Warwickshire , by the British carmaker Aston Martin between 2004 and 2016 as both a coupé and a convertible , the latter known as the "Volante".
The DB9 was the first car to use the VH platform. The first car to be named Aston Martin was created by Martin by fitting a four-cylinder Coventry-Simplex engine to the chassis of a 1908 Isotta Fraschini. [ 25 ] [ 26 ] They acquired premises at Henniker Mews [ 27 ] in Kensington and produced their first car in March 1915.
