Piccolo (Japanese: ピッコロ, Hepburn: Pikkoro) is a fictional character in the Japanese Dragon Ball media franchise created by Akira Toriyama.He made his appearance in chapter #161 "Son Goku Wins!!", published in Weekly Shōnen Jump magazine on February 9, 1988, [2] as the reincarnation of the evil King Piccolo, who was positioned as a demonic antagonist of the series.
Goku finds Kuririn's assassin, an offspring from King Piccolo named Tambourine, but he is unable to defeat as he is very tired. As Goku recovers, he meets a swordsman named Yajirobe who hates Goku due to stealing his fish, and they both start killing King Piccolo's offspring. They are then confronted by King Piccolo and Goku faces him.
King Piccolo is furious about Cymbal's death. Tambourine next targets Giran, and goes after the next name on his list: Yamcha. Goku requests Yajirobe's dragon ball, explaining their powers to him. Tambourine finds Yamcha but before he can kill him, King Piccolo telepathically orders him to find Cymbal's killer.

Raditz kidnaps Gohan and tells Goku to kill 100 people within the next 24 hours. Piccolo agrees to help Goku defeat Raditz, finding him to be a greater enemy than Goku. When the two are about to be defeated, Gohan furiously attacks Raditz, enabling Goku and Piccolo to fatally wound Raditz at the cost of Goku's own life.
Gohan then decides to adopt the boy as his own grandson, and gives him a new name – Goku. During the ending credits, Goku's battles against the Red Ribbon Army, Tien Shinhan, King Piccolo, Piccolo, Nappa and Vegeta are shown, culminating with an image of Goku about to battle Frieza, with the spirits of Bardock and his team watching.
Babidi enters the spaceship, but Dabura suddenly flies over to the Z Fighters, and he kills Kibito. Goku and Vegeta take some shots at him, but they miss. Dabura spits on Krillin and Piccolo, turning them both to stone. The only way to revive them is to kill Dabura. This lures the warriors into the ship.
