Every time a wiki page is edited, and changes were actually made, a record is kept of the difference. For example, a page history shows the revisions for that particular page. But recent changes can report on more than just the revisions of a page, or an entire wiki, they can also report on the recent changes of an editor (their contributions).
Wikipedia uses a powerful search engine, with a search box on every page. The search box will navigate directly to a given page name upon an exact match. But, you can force it to show you other pages that include your search string by including a tilde character ~ anywhere in the query. The maximum search string is 300 characters long.
It takes a second or two for the google search box to replace the default one. If you type anything in the default box, it then gets lost (and the focus gets lost too), which is pretty annoying. Can anything be done? It seems that you are always taken to a search results page, rather than jumping to a page that exactly matches your query.
