Piccolo (Japanese: ピッコロ, Hepburn: Pikkoro) is a fictional character in the Japanese Dragon Ball media franchise created by Akira Toriyama.He made his appearance in chapter #161 "Son Goku Wins!!", published in Weekly Shōnen Jump magazine on February 9, 1988, [2] as the reincarnation of the evil King Piccolo, who was positioned as a demonic antagonist of the series.
Before Frieza can finish off Goku with a beam to the forehead, Piccolo stops him with a full-force kick to the head. The now-distracted Frieza goes after Piccolo, whose attacks do nothing to faze him. The Namekian is quickly floored by Frieza, who decides to eliminate Piccolo, while Goku continues charging the Spirit Bomb.
Goku fights Frieza first and quickly gains the advantage but the latter deduces that he is holding back, so the two foes agree to fight at full power. Goku transforms into a new godly Super Saiyan form with a glowing blue hair and aura (later dubbed Super Saiyan Blue) and Frieza assumes his new gold-plated form, which he dubs Golden Frieza.

After fighting his way through Frieza's soldiers, Bardock sends a large energy blast at the tyrant himself. However, Frieza counters by launching his deadly Supernova attack which consumes Bardock and many of his own soldiers, and destroys Planet Vegeta. As he perishes, Bardock has one final vision of the future: Kakarot facing off against Frieza.
