Burning Sensations was a short-lived Los Angeles area rock band. The group is best known for its MTV hit "Belly of the Whale", the music for which blends a rather unusual fusion of rock and calypso styles, and for covering the Jonathan Richman song "Pablo Picasso", which was included in both the 1984 film and soundtrack of director Alex Cox's Repo Man.
Rockers is the soundtrack to the 1978 film of the same name.It was released in 1979 by Mango Records and includes some of the songs heard in the film by Jamaican reggae musicians such as Junior Murvin, Bunny Wailer, Burning Spear, Peter Tosh and Jacob Miller.
The pair had previously worked together on Hartman's 1979 song "Relight My Fire" and Holloway's 1980 song "Love Sensation". Plans were made to shoot a music video for the song, but Hartman died before it could be filmed. [3] The song was released as a single in Europe by Columbia.
