Thommie Walsh died on June 16, 2007, at his Auburn, New York, home from lymphoma at age 57. [7] [15] On Friday May 18, 2018, Thommie became the first person inducted posthumously into the Auburn Alumni Hall of Distinction. Thommie is survived by his sister Barbara Walsh, who is also an avid supporter of the arts.
