Picea sitchensis, the Sitka spruce, is a large, coniferous, evergreen tree growing to just over 100 meters (330 ft) tall, [2] with a trunk diameter at breast height that can exceed 5 m (16 ft).

The tree is approximately 30 m (105 feet) tall and has no primary trunk. Its circumference is approximately 15 m (46 feet). The tree is estimated to be 250–300 years old and has been described as a "natural wonder". [2]
