Omaha is home to more than 250 parks which encompass 11,000 acres of parkland. Parks help to create a sense of community by bringing neighborhoods together. Relax, play, exercise, or just take in a little fresh air and enjoy nature at one of our many parks or facilities.
The Parks and Recreation Department hires over 400 seasonal staff every summer. We have a job to fit every interest! All part-time and seasonal employees who join our team for the summer will enjoy access to all City of Omaha Pools and select Recreation Facilities as part of our new SUMMER INCENTIVE PROGRAM!

Omaha Parks & Recreation operates eight outstanding municipal golf courses that challenge golfers of all skill levels. Tee times may be reserved seven days in advance in person or by calling the course, or five days in advance by booking online.
Help keep our parks beautiful, hold a park clean-up in any of our 250+ parks. Help with projects ranging from litter pick up to mulching park trees, painting benches, picnic shelters and, more. Contact Steve at volunteerinparks@cityofomaha.org to reserve our VIP tool trailer for your clean-up.

Center registration is required for anyone who wishes to use the Parks and Recreation facilities. Registration requires the following information: name, date of birth, current address, current phone number, photo taken at the time of registration, and guardian information for the youth.
The Game Room is also outfitted with vending machines (machines are not the property of Omaha Parks and Recreation). This space is not available for rent but access is included in any facility rentals.
