I copied the skse64_xx files to my Skyrim Special Edition, created and .7z of the Data folders and dropped it in Vortex. Deinstallation: Deleting skse64_xx and Removing Data.7z 3. Full Drag and Drop. Somewhere I found somebody saying for Vortex the downloaded file needs to be dropped there as whole. Been there, done that.
Scroll down until you see Skyrim Special Edition, there should be a .txt file named plugins.txt with a list of all your activated .esps. This is you load order. Open the plugins.txt and make a new line at the top by pressing enter, and type "*SkyUI_SE.esp" and save the changes and this should work.
So I installed SKYUI (latest) with SKSE64(latest) and a bunch of other mods, and have properly configured such mods using LOOT with no major issues. When starting skyrim the in game mod manager registers it in the load order, but it just doesn't show up in game, nor does MCM.

1. I went to "Steam\steamapps\common\Skyrim Special Edition\Data\interface location" 2. deleted any of the files i could find. 3. I then deleted any files in the following location "Steam\steamapps\common\Skyrim Special Edition\Data\interface\skyui" hope this helps someone
