My favourite films seem to centre on intimate relationships and their progression/decay (Brokeback Mountain and Blue Valentine are two favourites that make a great trilogy with Blue is the Warmest Colour) and BITWC is simply the most detailed, unflinching, and honest portrayal of a relationship that I've ever seen.
I loved this film. I just watched Love Lies Bleeding and Blue Has the Warmest Color still has my heart.I'll be perfectly honest here. I'm a mostly straight cis male. Please recommend me your favorite French romance movies and any great French movie for that matter. I have Netflix, Hulu, HBO max and Amazon Prime.

Having revisited "Blue ..." recently I had a couple quick comments on this post which I read years ago (and reread today). The spaghetti dinner scene is filled with symbolism. Adele is shown slurping/sucking the spaghetti - which other female written posts imply that it means for Adele has "predilections ... for the penis".
While browsing their website, I noticed that the Criterion blu-ray for Blue Is the Warmest Color is super cheap. I haven’t seen the film yet but it seems hard to pass up with it being so cheap. But I have some reservations as I’ve seen a lot of bad reviews for the film and I only want to own blu-rays of movies that I’ll like and want to ...
