Historic Washington State Park (formerly Old Washington Historic State Park) is a 101-acre (41 ha) Arkansas state park in Hempstead County, Arkansas in the United States. The museum village contains a collection of pioneer artifacts from the town of Washington, Arkansas , which is a former pioneer settlement along the Southwest Trail . [ 2 ]

Wapanocca National Wildlife Refuge was established in 1961 from land acquired from the former "Wapanocca Outing Club" which was a prestigious hunting club formed in 1886. The refuge is located 3 miles (5 km) west of the Mississippi River near the city of Turrell, Arkansas. The refuge was once a bend in the Mississippi River.

The spring's outlet pool is contained entirely within Mammoth Spring State Park. The park is located in the town of Mammoth Spring , which lies in extreme north-central Arkansas. The outlet pool is adjacent to US Highway 63 , only 500 ft. south of the Missouri border, and it can be readily seen from the highway.

Mount Shuksan is a glaciated massif [3] in the North Cascades National Park. Shuksan rises in Whatcom County, Washington immediately to the east of Mount Baker, and 11.6 miles (18.7 km) south of the Canada–US border. The mountain's name Shuksan is derived from the Lummi word [šéqsən], said to mean "high peak". [4]
