Apra Harbor, also called Port Apra, [1] is a deep-water port on the western side of the United States territory of Guam. It is considered one of the best natural ports in the Pacific Ocean . [ 2 ] The harbor is bounded by Cabras Island and the Glass Breakwater to the north and the Orote Peninsula in the south.

This area is now within the community of Nimitz Hill Annex in Asan, Guam. Areas of the headquarters that were the Japanese naval communications center are within the Fonte Plateau Unit of War in the Pacific National Historical Park, located to the left bottom of this photo. Guam Highway 6 connecting Nimitz Hill to Piti has not yet been constructed.
