The Centurions (French title: Les Centurions) is a novel written by French journalist and former soldier Jean Lartéguy following a French airborne battalion through the First Indochina War, Algerian War, and Suez Crisis. [1] It was published in 1960 and translated from the original French into English by Xan Fielding.
The House That Jack Built: La Maison Que Jacques A Batie is a 1958 picture book written and illustrated by Antonio Frasconi. The book tells the story of the nursery rhyme "This Is the House That Jack Built" in English and French. The book was a recipient of a 1959 Caldecott Honor for its illustrations. [1]
