Iyeth Bustami (born Sri Barat; 24 August 1973) is an Indonesian dangdut singer, actress, and politician currently serving as a member of the House of Representatives representing Riau since 2024. Liga Dangdut Indonesia (Indonesian Dangdut League) is an Indonesian dangdut singing competition television series produced by Indonesia Entertainmen Produksi and distributed by Surya Citra Media. It aired on Indosiar from 15 January 2018 to 23 August 2021. [1]
Orkes Melayu singer Ellya Khadam switched to dangdut in the 1970s, and by 1972, she was the number-one artist in Indonesia. Her success, along with that of Rhoma Irama, meant that by 1975, 75 per cent of all recorded music in Indonesia was of the dangdut genre, with pop bands such as Koes Plus adopting the style. The first season of Rising Star Indonesia Dangdut aired weekly on MNCTV starting 19 April 2021. A. Rafiq (5 March 1946 – 19 January 2013) was a prominent Jakarta-based dangdut artist. He was active in the Indonesian music industry from the 1970s onwards. He launched his first single, "Pandangan Pertama" ("First Sight") in 1978. The single was a huge hit and propelled his career in the Indonesian '70s dangdut scene.
