Ballet Manila is a classical ballet institution [1] and dance company in the Philippines. It currently [ when? ] highlights more than fifty highly trained dancers in the highly rigorous Russian (Vaganova) [ 1 ] method of classical ballet.
The Philippine Ballet Theatre was founded in 1987 out of an alliance of leading dance groups. It quickly won recognition, as a resident ballet company of the Cultural Center of the Philippines. After graduating from OSU, she became the artistic director of the Locsin Dance Workshop which was founded by her mother. She was also part of the faculty of the University of the Philippines Dance Program and the artistic director of the Ballet Philippines in the Cultural Center of the Philippines complex from 1989 to 1999.
