Department of Agriculture and Co-operation is a cabinet level ministerial post in the Government of Telangana. First held on 2 June 2014, this ministry has one of the important portfolios in the cabinet of the state. The incumbent Minister for the Department of Agriculture and Co-operation for the state of Telangana is Thummala Nageswara Rao. [1]
The pre-independence India had attached Department of Agriculture, Revenue and Commerce set up in 1871. In 1881 the Department of Revenue and Agriculture was separated from it, further in 1923 the Department of Education and Health were combined in it to form Department of Education, Health and Land.

The Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives (Abrv: MOAC; Thai: กระทรวงเกษตรและสหกรณ์, RTGS: Krasuang Kaset Lae Sahakon) is a cabinet ministry in the government of Thailand. The ministry is one of the oldest ministries in the government, tracing its existence to the 14th century.
It was established in 1994, to solve exclusion problem of small and marginal farmers in India from modern agriculture due to resource constraints. [5] SFAC founded to bridge the gap, offering better income prospects by connecting these farmers with agribusinesses. [6]
As of 2022, agriculture contributed to 13% of the state's GSDP. [1] As of 2022, the state had 6.15 million hectares under cultivation. [2] The department is responsible to ensure stable agricultural production, devise and implement methodologies to increase food production and ensure availability of raw materials for agro-based industries.
