In 1934, it changed to Pitt General Hospital, and then again to Pitt County Memorial Hospital (PCMH) in 1949. The hospital moved to West Greenville in 1951, and then to its current location in 1977. On August 17, 2011, it was announced PCMH would change its name to UHS Medical Center.
