Proprietary connector used on Apple Macintosh Centris computers, and the Apple AudioVision 14 Display. An attempt by Apple to deal with cable clutter, by combining five separate cables from computer to monitor. Female port (20-pin) Digital Flat Panel (DFP) Used with the PanelLink digital video protocol. Deprecated. Made obsolete by DVI.
The Apple Display Connector is physically incompatible with a standard DVI connector. The Apple DVI to ADC Adapter, [1] which cost $149US at launch but was in 2002 available for $99US, [2] takes USB and DVI connections from the computer, adds power from its own integrated power supply, and combines them into an ADC output, allowing ADC monitors to be used with DVI-based machines.
Apple's manufacture history of CRT displays began in 1980, starting with the Monitor /// that was introduced alongside and matched the Apple III business computer. Apple offers various adapters that allow the Lightning connector to be used with other interfaces, such as 30-pin, USB, HDMI, VGA, and SD cards. The Lightning to 30-pin adapter supports only a limited subset of the available 30-pin signals: USB data, USB charging, and analog audio output (via the DAC inside of the adapter [27]).

The AudioVision 14 uses the same 14-inch CRT as the Macintosh Color Display. [5] It is the only display to use the HDI-45 connector [citation needed] (which Apple called the Integrated Desktop Connector), capable of transferring video to the screen, video capture input from an S-Video source, audio output, audio input, and Apple Desktop Bus (ADB) all through one cable, with plug and play support.
