Rappahannock County High School is a public high school in Washington, Virginia, and serves grades 8–12. RCHS is the only public high school in Rappahannock County, Virginia , and serves the local communities of Amissville , Chester Gap , Flint Hill , Sperryville , Castleton , Laurel Mills , and the town of Washington , among others.

A new facility was constructed for grades eleven and twelve, while the existing high school building accommodated grades eight through ten. The new construction was described in 2015 as a "90,000 square foot addition to Rappahannock High School". [3] The addition included larger classrooms, a 600 seat auditorium, and a new gymnasium. [3]

Before the secondary campus was built, students in Finneytown would attend Whitaker Elementary from 1st to 8th grades and then would go to Hughes, Mt.Healthy, or Wyoming for high school. During the late 1940s and 1950s, the population of Finneytown increased by 368%, thus increasing the demand for a high school.
