It was filmed in Puteaux, La Défense, and Paris, notably the 16th arrondissement. Originally, Tout ce qui brille was a 2007 short film shot by the same directors.
Jolas was born in Paris in 1926. Her mother, the American translator Maria McDonald, also studied singing.Together with Betsy's father, the poet and journalist Eugene Jolas, she founded and edited the magazine transition, [1] [2] which published over ten years many of the great writers of the interwar period.
