Maynooth Students' Union represents students of St Patrick's College, Maynooth and NUI Maynooth. The Maynooth Union was founded in 1895 during the centenary and the constitution agreed in 1896, to "foster a spirit of mutual sympathy between the College and its past students and friends", it hosts an annual reunion.
Maynooth Town F.C. is the local soccer club. The senior men's team competes in co-operation with Maynooth University as Maynooth University Town F.C., a member of the Leinster Senior League. They won the FAI Intermediate Cup in 2018 [24] and hence now compete in the senior FAI Cup. They progressed to the second round of the 2018 tournament.
The Russell Library was the main library in Maynooth until the opening of the John Paul II Library in 1981 which is now the main library for both students of Maynooth University and St Patrick's College. Access to the Russell Library is by appointment only.

Maynooth Students' Union is a constituent organisation of the Union of Students in Ireland. MSU rejoined the USI in 2009 [ 1 ] after disaffiliating from it in 2001. [ 2 ] In 2013, 2016, and 2019 there were other student body referendums to disaffiliate from the USI, but students voted to remain.
The building is also known simply as "The Aula". It is situated on the south campus of Maynooth University and St Patrick's College, Maynooth and is the main theatre for the university, college and surrounding area. It also serves as the conferring hall of the university where the annual graduations take place.
